After taking the road as far north as we can, we continue on foot along the clifftops on the east side of the headland. At Fethaland itself, there are the remains of what was Shetland’s largest fishing station and a hive of activity during the summer months. There is a small lighthouse and we can enjoy views to Uyea and the Ramna Stacks. The route back is mostly along a good track. Some steep sections. 4-5 hrs, moderate to challenging.
